Tunisia Mile after mile of golden sands sit next to modern beach resorts that have
been designed with sunseekers in mind. A holiday here will offer an exotic mixture of palm trees, shifting sands, hotel based
nightlife and colourful markets where you can haggle as the sun sets. Tunisia is exotic, exciting, enchanting and with one
of the most modern Arabic cultures... Tunisia is a land of souks and spices, desert dunes and Roman ruins mixed in with palm
trees and busy medinas.
Skanes Skanes consists of a string of good quality hotels stretching
out along the lovely soft gold sands of the coast. It offers a relaxing environment for a lazy beach based holiday, plus good
watersports and golfing activities for the more active holidaymaker amongst us. Nightlife in Skanes tends to be hotel based
and is quieter than some of the more usual holiday resorts. Skanes is an ideal base though for a relaxing holiday and watching
the world go by at a more sedate pace.
Port el Kantaoui This purpose built resort is a fantastic
base and a great place to relax. Themed around the picturesque fishing village of Sidi Bou Said, Port el Kantaoui has cobblestone
streets and a large marina surrounded by gift and souvenier shops. Enjoy the sunshine on a long stretch of sandy beach or
people watch in one of the resort's waterside cafe's. Its glorious sandy beaches offer safe sunbathing and watersports
for everyone. Nightlife is a little low key and the cafe's and restaurants of Port el Kantaoui marina make an enchanting
setting for dining out.
Hammamet Moorish styled hotels sitting beside the sandy beach all
help to create an attractive setting in this well-planned resort. The centre of Hammamet has a good supply of restaurants,
bars and quaint shops along its narrow streets. Head to the walled Medina for winding alleyways filled with street vendors
and bustling shops and haggle to your hearts content to achieve some impressive bargains. The 'garden resort' of Hammamet
has lucious fragrent orange and lemon groves that you'll see and smell everywhere and Hammamet also has some undeniably
beautiful beaches with pristine white sands that offer great spots for sunbathing and watersports.
Sousse Sousse offers plenty to see and do, combining big-city life with stunning beaches and historic sights. The modern part of
the town offers shops, cafe's and restaurants, while the old town's traditional architecture is a complete contrast.
Hotels line up along the white sandy beach, leading down to a working port. The resort of Sousse buzzes by day with lots of
activity centred around the ancient medina with shops and cafes lined along the narrow streets.
