Dalaman Turkey doesn't
get any more picture postcard-perfect than on the Dalaman coast. Also known as the Lycian or Turqouise coast, this stretch
of shoreline would definitely grab best-in-show in any Mediterranean pageant. Think pine topped hills sweeping down to neon-blue
waters and inland, snow tipped mountains threaded with rivers and valleys. But Dalaman's got a lot more besides great
scenery, people flock here for loads of other reasons too. Like its fabulous resorts, packed with family fun and electric
nightlife. Traditional villages, where time seems to have stood still and bazaars overflowing with carpets and coffee pots
all help this to be one of Turkeys favourite holiday destinations.
Marmaris Marmaris is a
wonderful combination of the old and the new, from its 16th century Ottoman castle to the pedestrianised stylish marina. Marmaris
has a Riviera style feel, with a modern marina and endless nightlife which can be as gentle or as vibrant as you choose. The
traditional harbour is lined with restaurants and bars and the town beach is very popular with sunbathers and watersports
enthusiasts alike.
Icmeler In a stunning setting nestling between the pine-clad mountains
and a parabolic arc of sand and shingle, Icmeler offers plenty to do both day and night in this pretty beach resort. Icmeler
generally has a relaxing feel through the day, while in the evening the bars and nightclubs can be quite lively. Icmeler has
an excellent choice of watersports on the soft sand and shingle beach, and a promenade wanders along behind the beach past
the restaurants and bars.
Olu Deniz All you need for a great holiday, including lively restaurants
and bars which can all be found in Olu Deniz. The town of Olu Deniz is beautiful - its lagoon area has been designated a national
park. The turquoise coast of Turkey gives you a delightfully varied holiday experience and is one of our most popular areas,
from here you can visit the turtles and mud baths of Dalyan.
Turkish food Unlike the traditional
English breakfast, the Turks offer a choice of cheese, olives, egg, tomato, cucumber and bread. You'll find most Turkish
restaurants have their own unique taste for the evening meal, but this mainly consists of rice, meat, chicken, bread, vegetables,
salad and fruit. This variety of culinary delights offers an alternative to our traditional expectations and allows for those
who wish to discover the Turkish cuisine.
Beaches The super shingle beach at Olu Deniz lagoon
is a famous and photogenic landmark. There's a long ribbon of shingle shore at Marmaris and Fethiye beach stretches
out along a golden sandy coastline.
